Mid-twentieth century in the Polish People’s Republic. Adam lives with his mother who is being bothered by the Security Service officials. During WWII, Adam’s father was defending Albion as a pilot and then he went missing. Parcels and postcards arrive from him but Adam – who has never seen him – suspects that they are being sent by someone else. One day, as the boy is watching Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt" at the cinema, he is transported to the young Brigitte Bardot's dressing room and her world of film and music stars.

Lech Majewski is a poet, painter, media artist, writer and director. He studied at Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, and graduated from the National Film School in Łódź. His credits include such films as: Prisoner of Rio (1988), Basquiat (1996), The Mill & the Cross (2011), and Valley of the Gods (2019). “Scanorama” screened his film “Field of Dogs” (2014), followed by a visit by the director himself. Majewski is member of Director’s Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
